OpenFeint Finally we started integrating OpenFeint into iRequiem. There are many social gaming platforms out there, but we decided to use OpenFeint because it’s really easy to integrate. Also, its large player user base contributed to this decision, which could help us spread the word about iRequiem.

It’s pretty straight forward to get started with the SDK. Their developer support pages have some nice articles, and there is a screencast which shows how to setup an application with OpenFeint. After a few minutes of work one can see the results. It has a nice user interface, with all elements logically organized. Here’s a screenshots of iRequiem’s OpenFeint “home page”:

iRequiem will feature separate leaderboards for all four difficulty settings (as you can see on the screenshot below). Players love achievements! So, we are designing achievements with additional attention. I already have a list of 20+ achievements in my head waiting for programming and testing. Here are a few from the list: “Killing Spree”, “Geared Up”, “Untouchable”, “Veteran Slayer”, “Gold Miser”. We will have some cool secret achievements too.
